Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien – a new General Director of DLG Group says:“Pressure is motivation to develop”

In the period of deepening economic integration, challenges have been set for local companies. However, Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien - new General Director of Duc Long Gia Lai Group affirmed that “Challenge is the opportunity, pressure is the motivation to develop.”

Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, was born in 1974, he was appointed as a new General Director of DLG Group on April 1st. Compare to previous leaders, Mr. Trung Kien is the youngest director. He has over 15 years of experience working at DLG Group since 2002 in a variety of positions fromspecialist to head of departmentsandDirector of DLG Group’s biggest subsidiaries. Although beinga young leader buthe has a lot of experience in managerial and operation. Mr. Trung Kien is not only a specialist in many fields from engineering, economic, financial to business management. He is also a competent and highly evaluated by Management team. That is why hehas received highest votes from the Board of Directors, Directors to Head of Departments of subsidiaries. 
Mr. Trung Kien will build the strategy how to operate DLG more developing according to the size and stature of the company. By the chance, the Securities Investor Reporter had a quick interview with him. 
Reporter: “Hi Mr. Kien, as you have been appointed as General Director of a large scale group in Vietnam with international influence such as DLG, what will you do to help DLG continue to breakthrough on the road of development?”
Mr. Kien: “Since the days of being appointed as a new General Director, I have identified DLG as my first priority and will fulfill with all my duties. I will be absolutely loyal, hard work, dedicate myself and I will do best to promote the development of DLG, to ensure the company is always operating efficiently grow and sustainability. This is also my oath to the Board of Directors, DLG's Board of Directors and Directors of subsidiariesat the meeting of the first quarter of 2018.
Being a General Director in a large group is a great opportunity, it is also a challenge for me. Especially, in the period of DLG's continuous development, not only in Vietnam but also develop to overseas market. It requires the leader has a big vision, appropriate development strategies, ensure the operation always goes on the right direction and right goal. That is a big challenge for me and I believe the more challenging, the higher development opportunities.”

Reporter: “What is the specific strategy, sir?”
Mr. Kien: “In the field of management, DLG will modernize the operation activities, apply international standard management systems that have been successfully applied at DLG subsidiaries in Korea, China and Hong Kong. DLG will continue to enhance publicity, transparency, provide all the information on decisions related to strategic changes in the business. Business strategies and investment plans are aimed to bringing the most practical benefits to shareholders and investors. Directors are consistently operating according to the resolution and under closely supervised of the Management team, Supervisory Board and Shareholders.
I will review, rearrange personnel in a streamlined, effective and appropriate way. I focus on young, creative and knowledgeable human resources. They will be more receptive to technical issues in their field, especially during the 4.0 revolution, which will have a dramatic impact on all sectors of the economy.
My point is, a good leader is a person who uses the talent, creates the best conditions for them to develop their abilities, employs the right people, ensure 100% with the company, consider DLG as their home and striving hard for DLG.
In the production and business activities, the immediate plan will be consistent with the objectives set by the Board. In the period 2018 - 2022, DLG will continue to focus on strategic fields: Firstly, multi product of Real Estate field, mainly in Ho Chi Minh City, apartment shop house, oficetel. DLG also invests in many hotels, resorts and condotels in the Central of Vietnam, Highlands and South West such as: Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Nha Trang, Binh Thuan, Phu Quoc, Lam Dong, Dak Nong, Gia Lai. Secondly, Renewable Energy field will focus on developing hydropower and solar power. Thirdly, Infrastructure investment field will continues to promote investment in the form of BOT and transfer land to infrastructure (BT).
In the traditional fields, I will concentrate on investing in highly profitable industries, ensuring the competitiveness in the market and proceed to divest the ineffective industries.”
Reporter: “Running a big group at your age, do you have confidence to accomplishthe mission?”
Mr. Kiên: “My good fortune is taking a new mission when DLG is inthe period of developing well, and I, myself have had some experience and inherited the positive aspects of the management from previous leaders. Further, because of my young age, I easily approached the new business philosophy, as well as easily grasp the development trend in the economic integration period.
With the fully support from the Board of Directors as well as the trust of the Management team and subsidiaries, I will operate DLG further development, breakthrough in conquering the target in Top 10 largest corporations in Vietnam in 2022 in terms of capitalization, branding, governance and business efficiency with the spirit of: The policy is 1, determination is 10, action is 100 and belief is 1000; hold firmly throughout the slogan: "Duc Long –Go and Reach"
To express my responsibility and determination, I will first register to buy 2 million shares of DLG and will continue to increase the number of shares in the future. I hope the shareholders and investors will always support and accompany with me and the Board of Directors to create the driving force to grow DLG stronger.”
